What’s different about Oeiras

Working in a business park is not like working in your own building. There is shared infrastructure, technical estate management, restrictions on what can be installed and, often, pre-installed operators in the building. Technical decisions have to be negotiated with the space, not just drawn up on a floor plan.

The most expensive mistake we see in business parks is sizing the network strictly for the current team. Six months later, another fifteen people join, the room next door is occupied and you discover there are no sockets, no switch ports and no coverage in the new area.

Leaving spare capacity on network points, switch ports and wireless capacity costs little during the initial installation and avoids a second set of works — which, in a shared building, is always more complicated than the first.

The building already has a network. Do we need anything else?

The building's infrastructure only provides a connection up to your space at most. Everything inside — cabling, switches, wireless, firewall and segmentation — is the company's responsibility, and that is where practically all performance issues lie.

Are you able to comply with the block’s rules?

Yes, and we deal with that directly with building management whenever necessary: access requests, construction schedules and authorised routes.

We are going to double in size in a year. How do you plan for that?

Scaling with a margin from the outset and choosing equipment that allows you to add capacity without replacing what is already in place. It works out more expensive in the first month but much cheaper over the first year.

Do you also provide day-to-day support to users?

Yes, under the regime IT Unlimitedunlimited helpdesk at a fixed cost, with permanent monitoring and onsite intervention when necessary.
